- Rice is a staple food in most countries
- Most SEA countries grow rice
- Agriculture ppresent in most countries

- Most countries have had a with colonialism except Thailand.
- Largely belong to ASEAN as a political group

- Multi-racial
- Diversity
- Rich heritage of ethnicity
